Just steps from the East Broadway subway stop (F train), you’ll find beloved neighborhood pizza joint Scarr’s Pizza. Grab a slice or stop and eat. The inside is reminiscent of the best retro-NY pizza spots—red leather and chrome stools, booths, wood paneling—it’s like a time warp. It’s also conveniently near the popular tourist destination, The Museum at Eldridge Street.
The place itself is an experience, and the pizza is just as good. Scarr’s boasts all-natural ingredients and stone-milled flour. They have plenty of fresh, hot, natural pizzas and also some modern options. If you like spice, order the Hotboi. It comes with beef pepperoni and jalapenos doused with Mike’s extra hot honey. Wash it down with one of their cocktails, wine, beer, or a soft drink. Come hungry—they have several sizes of pies, and the single slices are actually quite large.

Luna Pizza is a casual Italian pizzeria located a short walk to the Manhattan entrance to the Brooklyn Bridge. You can conveniently fuel up here before walking all the way to downtown Brooklyn.
In addition to pizza, they offer sandwiches, soups, pasta, platters, and desserts. If you’re a fan of carbs, try their lasagna pizza. It’s topped with lasagna noodles, mozzarella, tomato sauce, and ground beef. If you’re a seafood fan try one of their appetizers or sides, after all, they’re right near Chinatown’s fish markets. The baked clam appetizers are very tasty.

Manero’s sits right between Chinatown and Little Italy so you know you’re in for some good food. Not far from the Canal Street Market (or the Canal Street station) you can head here after doing some Chinatown shopping. They’re best for takeout since the space is small, be prepared to walk and eat- who has time to stop anyway?
Thin crispy crust, fresh sauce, and gooey cheese, what else do you need on a great pizza? Manero’s has all the classic toppings and classic is what they do well. I recommend a slice of their Margherita pizza. If you’re getting two their white slice is perfectly seasoned with mixed cheese and garlic.

Located just outside the Canal Street subway station you have a NY 99 Cents Pizza outpost. These things are everywhere. If you haven’t grabbed a 99 cent slice yet, now is the time to do so. This particular location isn’t exactly a sit-down place. The best way to enjoy your pizza (and most meals) is to get your cheap slices (or pie) and, weather permitting, head over to the nearby Collect Pond Park. It’s a nice break from the city and a pleasant place to eat.
The pizza itself is very good. More money doesn’t always mean more flavor. 99 Cent Pizza has plenty of flavors, all the usual toppings you could want (though those won’t be 99 cents), and is loaded with cheese. There’s no skimping on ingredients to make up for the price.

Forlini’s is just one block south of Canal street making it pretty central to your Chinatown outing. It’s hard to believe this place isn’t in Little Italy with its old-world (they opened in the 40s) red-sauce Italian restaurant vibe. They also offer a full bar, so it’s the perfect place to get your meal and have a drink to begin a night out in Chinatown’s lounges.
There’s no pizza to recommend. The best dish on the menu is the Linguine Fra Diavolo which comes with (clams, shrimp, and crabmeat) in red or white sauce. For dessert, you need to have one of their fresh-filled cannolis.

Canal Pizza is a small corner shop deep in Chinatown not far from the Grand Street station (BD). In addition to excellent pizza, they also have heroes, burgers, calzones, and gyro wraps. So there’s something for everyone. Bonus, it’s walking distance from several popular neighborhood bars like Home Sweet Home and Bar Belly, so it’s a great starting point for a night out.
Thin crust pizza that isn’t drowning in either sauce or cheese, this is the perfect snack to get you through the rest of your day or night. Their chicken bacon ranch pizza is about as delicious as pizza gets- who doesn’t love bacon. You also would be sad if you missed out on their crispy yet fluffy fries so make sure to order some.

Deep in Chinatown sits BD NYC pizza. This is yet another pizza place that offers dollar cheese slices so the price is the big draw. It’s also another pizzeria that pretty much only has takeout and delivery—so you go here when you’re on the go.
Luckily it’s a minute walk away from Seward Park so you can order your food and enjoy the outdoors. Or eat one-handed on your way to your next destination, never missing a beat. Order up some classic pepperoni slices, they’re hot, fresh, and delicious and they will only cost you a couple of dollars. For something sweet to go with your savory meal, get a side of their cinnamon bread.
