Miami Beach is world-famous and is constantly featured in famous movies and TV shows all the time; thanks to its gorgeous beachline, exciting nightclubs, and high-end restaurants. All of these aspects have worked together to make this South Florida city the icon that it is today.
There are already plenty of reasons to visit Miami Beach like the Art Deco Historic District and the South Pointe Park Pier, but when you factor in all these gourmet Italian restaurants, steakhouses, and the like, there’s really no reason not to visit this little slice of tropical paradise.

I like to kick things off strong by heading over to CVI.CHE 105, a sophisticated Peruvian restaurant that I think everyone will love. In my opinion, this is the best place to get ceviche in Miami Beach.
CVI.CHE 105 uses nothing but the freshest seafood and highest-quality ingredients to create absolutely exquisite cuisine from the mind of the award-winning Chef Juan Chipoco. Thanks to him, dining at CVI.CHE 105 is less of a meal and more of an experience. I had the pleasure of trying the ceviche Camarones made with shrimp and I strongly recommend it.
Check out CVI.CHE 105 off of Lincoln Road next to the Regal South Beach IMAX, ScreenX & VIP movie theater and the Lincoln Center shopping mall.

La Ventana Colombian Restaurant is a vibrant place to eat off of Washington Avenue near things like ARTECHOUSE Miami art center and Kimpton Angler’s 4-star hotel.
They’ve been serving up authentic Colombian cuisine to Miami Beach for over 14 years here at La Ventana, so you know they’re doing something right. My favorite dishes that they offer are avocado arepa toast for breakfast and the chimichurri churrasco for dinner.
They don’t skimp on the drink menu here, either! You’ll find an extensive array of refreshing cocktails including 5 different mojito flavors, 4 different flavors of daquiri, 5 kinds of margarita, and so much more!

Next is Joe’s Stone Crab Restaurant. This place is located off of Washington Avenue, nestled amongst all of the luxury condominiums near South Pointe Park.
Joe’s Stone Crab Restaurant is enormous inside, so don’t be afraid to bring all your friends and family for some of the freshest seafood in Miami Beach
When you head over to Joe’s, I recommend trying either their soft shell crab sandwich or their lobster mac and cheese for a real treat.

Pao is a contemporary Asian restaurant inside the Faena Hotel Miami Beach. The cuisine is all artisanally crafted based on recipes from Chef Paul Qui, winner of Top Chef as well as the James Beard Award for the Best Chef: Southwest.
My favorite dish that I would recommend is the short rib asado made with wagyu beef that’s been smoked for 72 hours! It’s also served with atchara and a Japanese sweet potato puree.
After dinner, I was absolutely elated to discover that Pao serves Lavazza Coffee that comes from Italy, so a post-meal espresso is a must.

This next place is called Stubborn Seed, a locally sourced American restaurant that I think everyone should try. They are located off of Washington Avenue, just south of the Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU and only a couple of blocks from the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Ocean Beach Park. This is a great place to eat after a day soaking up some sun and culture.
I love this place because everything is so refined and modern thanks to the mind of Chef Jeremy Ford. Chef Ford is the winner of the TV show Bravo’s Top Chef in season 13, so it’s clear he knows his way around a kitchen.
I recommend visiting Stubborn Seed during their “Miami Spice” dinner special from Sunday through Thursday. For only $42 you get a gourmet three-course meal with unbelievably creative culinary concoctions to choose from.
Macchialina

Macchialina is an Italian trattoria where you’ll find authentic, home-style Italian food. You can find this amazing restaurant off of Alton Road near Flamingo Park and the Mondrian South Beach Miami hotel.
When you get to Macchialina, I recommend trying their “Chef’s Tasting Menu” option. This option gives you a 5-course meal with the option of an additional wine pairing for $50 more.
Some highly recommended dishes from Macchialina include the veal Milanese, Mediterranean branzino, and their cacio e pepe. All of these are sure to put a smile on your face, especially with the right glass of wine.

Right in the heart of the Lincoln Center Shopping Mall is a fine-dining American restaurant called Juvia. This rooftop restaurant offers stunning views of South Beach and is conveniently located next to the Nike Miami store and Apple Lincoln Road.
One item on the menu that called my name right from the get-go here at Juvia was their 36-ounce, bone-in prime ribeye steak. For a little extra decadence, even, you can add 5 grams of black truffle shavings.
The open-air atmosphere combined with the feeling of dining on a rooftop adds another layer of luxury to the entire experience.
Yardbird Southern Table & Bar

Yardbird Southern Table & Bar is a haven for southern comfort food and a long list of bourbons. They offer over 60 bourbons to sample as well as a wide variety of American whiskeys and different ryes.
The food menu is no slouch here, either. You’ll find brunch, lunch, and dinner here at Yardbird, and I think you should try all 3 when you get a chance. One thing I highly recommend is their Nashville hot fried chicken sandwich that’s made with a devilishly hot Carolina Reaper rub.
Look for Yardbird Southern Table & Bar off of Lenox Avenue less than a mile north of Flamingo Park.

Abbale Telavivian Kitchen is an amazing place to eat in Miami Beach where you’ll find authentic Israeli cuisine. Look for Abbale off of Commerce Street, just walking distance from the South Pointe Park Lighthouse.
This amazing restaurant offers all sorts of traditional foods like hummus, pita sandwiches, and delicious Jerusalem bagels. My favorite thing to order from Abbale is their lamb kofta shakshuka.
Abbale Telavivian Kitchen is a family-run restaurant co-founded by Chef Samuel Gorenstein that combines cuisines from countries like Israel, Turkey, Greece, and Colombia all in one place. Come check it out!

OLA is the place to go for fine Latin cuisine with a delightful modern twist. You can find this place on the first floor of The Gates Hotel South Beach, just a minute or two from the start of the Miami Beach Boardwalk.
What I always order from OLA Restaurant is their roasted Cuban pork that comes served with garlic yucca mash, black bean broth, Creole-style pepper salad.
If you are a wine-lover, then OLA is going to be heaven for you. They have a master sommelier as part of their staff to ensure the best wine pairings possible for your meal.
Hakasan Miami

This next place, Hakasan Miami, is a refined Chinese restaurant located inside the world-famous Fontainbleau Miami Beach 5-star hotel, just south of Indian Beach Park.
The cuisine here is based on traditional Chinese recipes and is sure not to disappoint. I opted for the Szechuan-style sauteed chicken with dried chili. They have countless other delicacies though like crispy orange chicken and even an extensive tofu menu for anyone interesting in a meat-free meal.
Hakasan Miami may have the biggest wine selection that I have ever seen, as well. If you are looking to try wines from all over the world, then this is the place for you, no doubt. Some bottles even cost upwards of $10,000!
Carbone

Still can’t decide where to eat near Miami? Then you should visit Carbone for some fine Italian dining! You can find Carbone off of Collins Avenue, north of the enormous Portofino Tower.
I like to start with the Calamari Marco from the Antipasti menu here at Carbone. After that, I usually opt for the lobster ravioli, but sometimes it’s hard to pass up something as delicious as their prime porterhouse.
Carbone has reinvented modern Italian dining by bringing back the classics and breathing new life into them. I think you’ll be just as blown away by this place as I was when O went there.

La Sandwicherie is a charming sandwich shop in Miami Beach that I love to go to for lunch. They offer all sorts of signature sandwiches alongside some classics, and even a whole selection of vegan options.
I really recommend trying their signature Italian sandwich, but they have so many others that are just as delicious. Another great option is their Napoli sandwich that comes with prosciutto and fresh mozzarella.
Check out La Sandwicherie off of 14th Street, right off of Washington Avenue where you’ll also see The Cat Cafe South Beach.

This next place, Lucali, is probably one of my favorite places to get pizza in Miami Beach. They have absolutely incredible pizza, calzones, salads, and desserts here that you’re going to love.
For anyone that is looking for a delicious slice of pizza near Miami Beach, you need to head on down to Lucali. Not only can you get a perfect brick-oven pizza for only $24, but you can top it with imported Italian artichokes.
Come check out Lucali off of Bay Road, right next to the Publix Supermarket on the Bay and the Sunset Harbour Yacht Club.
Broken Shaker at Freehand Miami

Broken Shaker is a beautiful cocktail bar and lounge located inside the Freehand Miami hotel. They offer small bites and a massive array of beers, wines, premium liquors, and bubbles.
One of my go-tos here at Broken Shaker is a cocktail they call “Classic Randy” made with gin, grapefruit rice reduction, citrus, and soda water. Pair that drink with one of their double bacon cheeseburgers and it’s a match made in heaven.

Next up, Taquiza is a Taco restaurant that you’re not going to want to miss. Taquiza is located off of Collins Avenue, just a couple of minutes walking distance to South Beach.
This is the place to go for tacos when you’re on South Beach, in my opinion. Everything here is served with their homemade blue corn tortillas that are completely organic, so you know exactly what you’re eating.
Another thing I love about this place is the sheer number of protein options for your tacos. You can choose from 13 different fillings like barbacoa, lengua, Mahi, and Impossible chorizo for a delicious vegan option.
Santorini by Georgios

Santorini by Georgios is a phenomenal Greek restaurant that you can find off of the famous Ocean Drive inside the Hilton Bentley Miami/South Beach hotel.
I think what they do best here at Santorini by Georgios is tapas. They offer all kinds of flavors like spanakopita, falafel, and homemade dolmades. If you’re really hungry, though, then you’re going to want to order their oven-roasted lamb that comes served with grilled vegetables and yellow rice.
Feeling adventurous? Pick the “Santorini Experience” option and Georgios will provide you with a Greek feast like you’ve never seen for one flat rate!
Benh Mi

The next place I want everyone to check out is called Benh Mi. This place is a charming little sandwich shop located off of Washington Avenue, right next to Española Way, a Miami Beach historical landmark.
I really like to order the “xtra crunchy” chicken tender bucket from Benh Mi, but they have countless other amazing options. Some other things you might like include their vegetable spring rolls or their BBQ short rib sandwich.
Each one of the delicious sandwiches here at Benh Mi comes with umami mayo, pickled carrots, daikon and onion, cucumber, and jalapeño on top of fresh bread from Bettant Bakery.
Byblos Miami

This next place is called Byblos Miami and they’re one of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants in the city. You can find Byblos near some of Miami’s nicest hotels like Loews Miami Beach and Royal Palm South Beach Miami.
Byblos’s cuisine is a true treat for anyone, like myself, that loves Mediterranean food. Some of the dishes they do best are their wood-fired pide and the short rib kebabs.
The dessert menu is also terrific here at Byblos. You can find some absolutely delicious sweets like stuffed baklava and hazelnut chocolate mousse.
Casa Isola Osteria

Casa Isola Osteria is the brainchild of the talented Chef José Mendín that opened in February of 2021. Here, you can experience the many flavors of Italy from the comfort of Sunset Harbour.
What you should try at Casa Isola Osteria is their veal chop parmigiana with tomato, basil, and mozzarella cheese. Be sure to save room for dessert, too! It changes daily based on the Chef’s inspiration.
Look for Casa Isola Osteria off of 20th Street near Sunset Harbour, just north of the Maurice Gibb Memorial Park.
Orilla Bar & Grill

Next up is Orilla Bar & Grill located off of Euclid Avenue and Florida State Road A1A. Orilla is a steakhouse with a full liquor bar that is sure to provide a mesmerizing dining experience.
When you come here, I recommend steak, of course. They have all sorts of options like prime New York strip, ribeye steak, and even a 3-pound, bone-in prime rib!
Something I really love about Orilla is that they serve Lavazza coffee and tea. Lavazza is authentic Italian coffee that’s imported right from Italy with a heavenly taste like no other.
Pubbelly Sushi

Looking for sushi and sake? Look no more and head on down to Pubbelly Sushi! They are absolute sushi masters and sake specialists at this lively Asian restaurant.
Sometimes it can be hard to find a delicious steamed bao bun, but not at Pubbelly. The bao buns here are some of the fluffiest I have ever had. You can order them in many different flavors, as well, like pork belly, shiitake, and buffalo chicken.
This is the ultimate place to go for sake, as well. Pubbelly offers all different kinds of specialty sake like nigori.

Right off of Commerce Street near South Pointe Beach is Planta, an entirely plant-based restaurant. You’ll find absolutely zero animal proteins or products in use at this eco-friendly establishment.
Planta is a vegan haven, so to speak. The food is so good, though, that even if you aren’t vegan, it’s still an amazing place to eat in Miami Beach.
Some of my favorite dishes to order from Planta include their gluten-free pizza and their coconut ceviche. Planta is proof that you can have delicious cuisine without the need for animal products!
Stiltsville Fish Bar

Right across the street from the Maurice Gibb Memorial Park is a seafood restaurant called Stiltsville Fish Bar. If you want to taste fresh, locally sourced seafood at a good price, then this is the place for you.
They have something here called “The Stiltsville Tackle Box” that I highly recommend to anyone. This box comes in either half or full portions of raw oysters, royal red shrimp cocktail, lobster salad with avocado, & local tuna ceviche.
You’ll want to come by every day for their daily specials, too. Tuesdays are for $2 tacos, Wednesdays are $2 oyster nights, 50% off bottles of wine on Mondays, and much more!

This next place is only a block away from Collins Park off of Liberty Avenue called Sweet Liberty Drinks & Supply Company. You can find them on the first floor of the Boulan South Beach hotel.
Their main menu is amazing and full of delicious food, but I really recommend coming to Sweet Liberty on Sundays for their brunch menu. Brunch is served from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM where you’ll find an unparalleled martini selection.
As for food, I think you should try the classic steak and eggs for brunch. If you’re dining during dinner, however, I recommend their BBQ baby back pork ribs.
The Bazaar by José Andrés

Last, but certainly not least, is The Bazaar by José Andrés, a beautiful Spanish restaurant off of Collins Avenue near South Beach. The Bazaar is run by Michelin-starred chef José Andrés who also owns and operates over 30 restaurants!
This is one of the few places I have found where you can try some authentic Jamon Iberico, otherwise known as the most expensive cured meat in the world.
The conch fritters served here at The Bazaar are unbeatable, but I also recommend the Cuban coffee-rubbed churrasco as well. After that, I say finish it off with some traditional Spanish flan for dessert.
Final Thoughts
It’s really no surprise that Miami Beach is such a popular travel destination in Florida. Once you see for yourself just how many high-quality restaurants there are scattered around the city, you just don’t want to leave.
