Top-Notch Palm Coast Restaurants Everybody Loves

Palm Coast is a small city in Florida, just north of Daytona Beach in Flagler County. This town has been made into a popular destination for tourists and retirees alike thanks to the oceanside golf courses and pristine beaches.

One of the greatest perks about Palm Coast, however, is the huge number of fantastic restaurants in the area to choose from. No matter what you might be craving, you’re bound to find it somewhere among the vast bounty of eateries scattered around the city. The only hard part, though, is picking out the best ones.

First up is a place called La Piazza Cafe. This classic-style Italian restaurant is located off of Palm Harbor Parkway inside the European Village shopping center. You can go on a shopping spree and go out to eat all in one place!

I absolutely love the menu here. One of the best things to order from La Piazza is a 2-5lb live Maine lobster that must be called in 3 days ahead of time. Of course, they also have other Italian favorites like chicken parmesan and veal Milanese that are delectable as well.

Captain’s BBQ

5862 N Ocean Shore Blvd, Palm Coast, FL 32137
Phone: (386) 597-2888
Visit Website

There’s only one place I recommend to every single person that asks me where the best place to get barbecue is: Captain’s BBQ. They specialize in succulent, slow-cooked meats over a wood-fired pit that you can enjoy from their waterfront patio.

My favorite thing to order from Captain’s BBQ is their beef brisket plate. Another great option from their menu is an order of burnt ends with a side of classic mac and cheese.

Check out Captain’s BBQ off North Ocean Shore Boulevard next to Bing’s Landing park on the bank of the Matanzas River.

Metro Diner

250 Palm Coast Pkwy NE #250, Palm Coast, FL 32137
Phone: (386) 951-4490
Visit Website

Metro Diner is another great place to eat near Palm Coast if you like that casual American diner vibe. You can get breakfast, brunch, and dinner here at Metro Diner, so you can cover pretty much every meal of the day here!

I am a huge fan of Metro Diner’s pressed breakfast burritos so one of those is usually my go-to order. Some other delicacies worth trying here include their fried chicken Benedict for brunch and the Charleston shrimp and grits for dinner.

You can find Metro Diner inside the Island Walk Shopping Center off of Palm Coast Parkway, right near the James F. Holland Memorial Park.

Mezzaluna Pizzeria

101 Palm Harbor Pkwy #104a, Palm Coast, FL 32137
Phone: (386) 445-1004
Visit Website

Up next is a place called Mezzaluna Pizzeria off of Palm Harbor Parkway in the European Village shopping mall, just south of the Legacy Vacation Resort Palm Coast hotel.

When you visit Mezzaluna Pizzeria, I recommend checking their daily specials before anything else. They offer slamming food deals like a large cheese pizza for only $10.99 on Tuesdays or a half hero with a side of fries for only $7.95 on Thursdays.

Mezzaluna Pizzeria is a family-owned and operated establishment that will make you feel right at home with a warm atmosphere and comforting cuisine.

386 A Fusion of Fine Eating

5949 N Ocean Shore Blvd, Palm Coast, FL 32137
Phone: (386) 246-0070
Visit Website

386, A Fusion of Fine Eating is a unique New-American restaurant located near Hammock Beach, just a couple of miles south of the gorgeous Washington Oaks Gardens State Park.

What I love about this place is that they have reinvented several of my favorite dishes with their own creative twist. One of my favorites is their San Fran cioppino full of fish and shellfish, served atop a bed of parmesan risotto.

Keep your eyes peeled for 386 tucked away off of North Ocean Shore Boulevard. It can be an easy place to miss, but you really don’t want to!

Atlantic Grille

105 16th Rd E, Palm Coast, FL 32137
Phone: (386) 447-4610
Visit Website

Next, we’re heading to the Atlantic Grille Oceanfront Restaurant which is part of the luxurious Hammock Beach Golf Resort and Spa. This is easily my favorite place to go for waterfront dining in Palm Coast.

You’re close enough to reach out and touch the ocean, basically, so it makes sense that they would have some of the freshest seafood available here at the Atlantic Grille. My favorite things to order from here are the bang bang shrimp and their incredible ahi tuna steak that comes served with a tomato lentil salad, preserved lemon, and datil chimichurri.

Focaccia

85 Cypress Point Pkwy #1, Palm Coast, FL 32164
Phone: (386) 283-5617

Right off of Cypress Point Parkway near the Pine Lakes Golf Club is another superb Italian eatery called Focaccia. They specialize in panini, pizza, and charcuterie boards here. What more could you ask for?

Their pizza comes served in small square slices, so I usually order about 3 different varieties like margherita, daivolo, and zucchine. The panini are my favorite dishes, though, by far. The Milano panini comes with fresh salami and provolone for a perfect mix of flavors.

After you’ve eaten, and if you still have room, be sure to try their gelato affogato which consists of delicious vanilla ice cream topped with an espresso shot.

High Jackers Restaurant

202 Airport Rd, Palm Coast, FL 32164
Phone: (386) 586-6078
Visit Website

If you’ve ever wanted to eat a meal in a restaurant located directly adjacent to an active airplane runway, then High Jackers Restaurant is the place for you! This is such a fun place to eat in Palm Coast where you can watch the planes land and take off.

I go to High Jackers for lunch, dinner, and even a bottomless mimosa brunch on Sundays when I’m in the mood for some excitement and good food. I highly recommend ordering their quiche of the day if you go for brunch, but if you’re there for dinner, don’t pass up on the filet mignon steak tip kabobs.

Check out High Jackers off of Airport Road inside the Flagler Executive Airport for a meal with a view like no other!

Joe’s New York Pizza & Pasta

1070 Palm Coast Pkwy NW, Palm Coast, FL 32137
Phone: (386) 445-1650
Visit Website

Palm Coast, Florida isn’t exactly the first city that comes to mind when I think about pizza, but Joe’s New York Pizza & Pasta is one of the best pizzerias I’ve ever been to. Family-owned and operated since 1995, the Bennici brothers have been serving authentic NY pizza to Flagler County for a long time, so they know what they’re doing.

They have all sorts of specialty pies here at Joe’s New York Pizza & Pasta. My favorite pie to order is either their buffalo chicken pizza or the chicken parm pie. They also offer tons of classic Italian dishes that everyone knows and loves like sausage and peppers or homemade lasagna.

Check out Joe’s New York Pizza & Pasta off of Palm Coast Parkway, conveniently located next to a charming little ice cream shop called Purdees that’s perfect for a post-pizza treat.

JT’s Seafood Shack

5224 N Ocean Shore Blvd, Palm Coast, FL 32137
Phone: (386) 446-4337
Visit Website

Right off of State Road A1A is a little hole in the wall called JT’s Seafood Shack full of tasty fish and live music with both indoor and outdoor seating. You can come in and sit at the bar and find yourself a game to watch on one of the many TVs, or you can head out back to play cornhole and enjoy that fresh Florida air.

My favorite aspect of JT’s Seafood Shack is the abundance of low-priced seafood that they offer. I always go for JT’s ultimate steam pot full of crab legs, shrimp, clams, and mussels.

JT’s Seafood Shack is a great spot to hit both day and night for some good tunes and fun times in an unpretentious, relaxed atmosphere.

Mamaling Asian Street Food

1280 Palm Coast Pkwy SW, Palm Coast, FL 32137
Phone: (386) 302-0777

Mamaling Asian Street Food is a delightful Asian restaurant located right across the street from the City Marketplace shopping mall and the Walmart Supercenter on Cypress Point PArkway. I love to stop in here as often as I possibly can for their amazing steamed buns and Vietnamese pho.

This is such a perfect place to immerse yourself in South Eastern culture and try all sorts of authentic street food recipes directly from Southeast Asia.

Are you a sake-lover? Then Mamaling has what you want! They have all different types of sake that you can enjoy as well as 2 types of sangria and various beers and wines.

VESSEL Sandwich Co.

Phone: (386) 693-5085
Visit Website

VESSEL Sandwich Co. is an amazing little counter-serve sandwich shop that’s located right on beautiful Flagler Beach near Palm Coast. This is my favorite place to get a delicious sandwich before spending the day fishing from the Flagler Beach Fishing Pier.

Some of my favorite things to order from VESSEL include the shrimp po’boy sandwich, the pork belly banh mi, and their Minorcan clam chowder. Don’t forget the drinks, too!

VESSEL offers a medley of craft beers, imported wines, and refreshing shandys, so there’s everything you need here to wet your whistle.

Sonny’s BBQ

25 Cypress Edge Dr, Palm Coast, FL 32164
Phone: (386) 446-5700
Visit Website

Sonny’s BBQ is a name known across the the state of Florida and plenty others in the South as a fantastic barbecue restaurant. I love Sonny’s because you can really taste the smokiness in all of their meats and you just know they have a real pitmaster working back there.

Check out Sonny’s BBQ off of Cypress Edge Drive in the heart of all the shopping centers. When you get there, be sure to try an order of their St. Louis ribs with sides of beans and coleslaw. I call that the ultimate barbecue meal, perfect for any time of day!

Funky Pelican

215 Florida A1A, Flagler Beach, FL 32136
Phone: (386) 439-0011
Visit Website

You can’t get much closer to the water than the Funky Pelican over on Flagler Beach, nestled right into the sand. Funky Pelican is connected to the Flagler Beach Fishing Pier, so you’re afforded a picturesque view of the water during your meal.

I like to eat here most often in the morning because, to me, there’s nothing like a delicious breakfast while watching the sun rise over the big blue Atlantic Ocean. My favorite things to order off of their breakfast menu are their omelets made with farm-fresh eggs.

The Golden Lion Cafe

501 N Ocean Shore Blvd, Flagler Beach, FL 32136
Phone: (386) 439-3004
Visit Website

Just a little ways north up Flagler Beach is a place called The Golden Lion Cafe that’s right near other fun treats like the Flagler Beachfront Winery and Sally’s Ice Cream.

I love The Golden Lion for the open-air layout and their rooftop patio that overlooks the gorgeous beach, but the food and drinks are also to-die-for.

The Golden Lion claims to have had the best fish n’ chips around for the last 28 years, and I can see why! You can have yours done with either Alaskan pollock or you can upgrade to mahi-mahi which I highly recommend. No matter which fish you choose, though, it always comes out perfectly fried, golden brown.

Adette’s Bistro & Bakery

160 Cypress Point Pkwy STE D101, Palm Coast, FL 32164
Phone: (386) 986-2414123-456-7890
Visit Website

Adette’s Bistro is located inside the City Market Place shopping mall off of Cypress Point Parkway, so it’s a really convenient place to eat after spending time shopping around a bit.

What’s cool about this place is that it’s both a bakery and a bistro, so I always make sure to leave with some sweet treats after my meal. Some of my favorites are their coconut cream pie and their cannolis.

You can also take home many of their exquisite spreads like hummus, olive tapenade, and even a chicken liver pâté.

Portugal Wine Bar & Grill

15 Palm Harbor Village Way W, Palm Coast, FL 32137
Phone: (386) 225-4753
Visit Website

This place is called Portugal Wine Bar & Grill and I think they are one of the best places to eat in Palm Coast, FL. What makes this restaurant so special is that you can find dishes from all sorts of cultures here.

Of course, you can find amazing Portuguese delicacies like seafood mariscada, but they also feature Italian classics like chicken parm and veal osso buco. You can really get a little bit of everything at Portugal Wine Bar & Grill.

Bring the entire family here, too! Portugal Wine Bar & Grill offers family-style and group-dining options to make the experience even more fun.
