Kissimmee Restaurants That You Need to Try While in Town

Kissimmee Restaurants That You Need to Try While in Town

Most people, when they think of Kissimmee, think of Disney World amusement park, or maybe Epcot, because they’re both so close by. But, what some people don’t realize is that Kissimmee is home to some restaurants that are so incredible that they might make you forget all about those Florida theme parks.

Cities in Florida like Kissimmee are such wonderful places to live because they perfectly intertwine the experience of living down here in the South with that famous tropical Florida vibe only an hour and a half away on Cocoa Beach, so you really get the best of both worlds here.

Come check out The Venetian Chop House inside the gorgeous Caribe Royale Orlando hotel where you might just end up staying after you fall into a food-coma from all the delicious steak!

This place is the perfect destination for dinner after a long day at all the fun places like Seaworld Orlando and Walt Disney World Resort because it’s right in the heart of the action.

Some of the best dinner items featured at The Venetian Chophouse, in my opinion, are their bison short ribs and, of course, the black Angus ribeye steak.

Woodsby’s Café

4515 S Orange Blossom Trail, Kissimmee, FL 34746

The next amazing place to eat near Kissimmee that I want to mention is called Woodsby’s Countryside Café off of South Orange Blossom Trail; they’re a little ways off the beaten path, but they are 100% worth going out of your way for.

Woodsby’s Countryside Café perfectly encapsulates that classic country diner vibe where you just know the biscuits are homemade and the coffee is always fresh.

I love to come here for their all-day breakfast, but they also have delicious lunch and dinner menus that are chock-full of comfort foods that we all love like country fried steak and fried catfish filets.

Jimmy Bear’s BBQ

4247 13th St, St Cloud, FL 34769
Phone: (407) 508-0681
Visit Website

Jimmy Bear’s BBQ is up next and they have to be one of the best barbecue joints that I’ve had the pleasure of visiting in quite some time and they’re located off of 13th Street in the same plaza as the Publix Super Market Center of St. Cloud.

This place is basically one of my favorite places to go near Kissimmee for barbecue because it’s just outside the city limits, so not many people actually know about it. It’s like a little hidden gem that’s never too crowded where you can always find delicious BBQ.

I strongly recommend an order of their beef brisket or pork belly burnt ends, but my all-time favorite dish of theirs is their country rib sandwich.

Tarantino’s Italian Restaurant

2095 E Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, FL 34744
Phone: (407) 870-2622
Visit Website

Next, head down to Tarantino’s Italian restaurant for a no-frills, homestyle Italian meal that will have you coming back several times a week.

What I recommend most from Tarantino’s is their lobster ravioli or their veal piccata. Another thing I love about this place is that they offer a takeout dinner special for 4 people that comes with a massive half-pan filled with your choice of entrees like chicken parmesan or fettuccine Alfredo alongside a salad and garlic bread.

Check out Tarantino’s Italian Restaurant off of East Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, just down the street from the Silver Spurs Arena.

Express Cafe

5820 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, FL 34746
Phone: (321) 614-0503
Visit Website

Up next is a place called Express Cafe located off of the West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in the same plaza as the exhilarating Old Town theme park where they specialize in Brazilian dishes and Cuban sandwiches as well as baked goods and breakfast foods.

I absolutely love the arepas here at Express Cafe, but what really steals the show is their perfectly-toasted Cuban Sandwich filled with authentic mojo pork, if you ask me.

Chuy’s

7913 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, FL 34747
Phone: (407) 787-3545
Visit Website

Chuy’s is a well-known, popular Mexican restaurant that you can find off of the West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, right across the street from the Island H20 Water Park, where you can get all the best Tex-Mex classics and plenty of margaritas.

I’m a huge chips and queso fan, so it’s impossible for me not to start my meal here at Chuy’s off with that, but after a few margs, I like to get something a bit more substantial in me like one of their gargantuan “Big As Yo’ Face” burritos that are sure to satisfy the hungriest of patrons.

Eleven

7593 Gathering Dr, Kissimmee, FL 34747
Phone: (407) 662-1170
Visit Website

This next place, Eleven, is a refined steakhouse at the Reunion Resort and Golf Club that makes for an absolutely ideal dinner spot after 18 holes of golf.

If you really want to treat yourself to a succulent steak, then I recommend coming to Eleven and ordering their signature bone-in, prime cowboy ribeye that weighs in at a mind-blowing 18 ounces!

Chef John’s Place

1210 Lago Vista Ct, Kissimmee, FL 34746
Phone: (407) 978-6619

The Grille at Bellalago, also known as Chef John’s Place, is a refined seafood restaurant located off of Lago Vista Court where you can enjoy a premium dining experience with gorgeous lakeside views.

When you come here for dinner, I recommend trying an order of Chef John’s amazing seafood gumbo and then moving into the grilled or blackened grouper for your entree. After that, finish up the night with a slice of Chef John’s key lime pie and a beautiful evening walk along the boardwalk on Lake Tohopekaliga.

Bruno’s Italian Restaurant

8556 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, FL 34747
Phone: (407) 397-7577
Visit Website

Bruno’s is an old-school Italian restaurant located off of West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway next to the Champions World Resort and almost directly across the street from Orange Lake Golf.

My favorite reason to come visit Bruno’s is for their absolutely incredible New York-style pizza with all of the premium toppings I can fit on it, but sometimes I opt for one of their gigantic calzones or stromboli.

El Tapatio

1804 W Vine St, Kissimmee, FL 34741
Phone: (407) 572-8500
Visit Website

Next up, head towards West Vine Street and look for El Tapatio when you want some authentic, traditional Mexican food that will absolutely knock your socks off.

I love El Tapatio because they have an enormous tequila selection for me to sample and find new favorite ones, but the food is delectable as well, featuring classics like a molcajete Tarasco which you can order for 2 people.

MOOR

6000 W Osceola Pkwy, Kissimmee, FL 34746
Phone: (407) 586-1101

Next up is MOOR, a refined seafood restaurant located inside the luxurious Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center which is almost like its own little city.

This is the place to be for fresh seafood in Kissimmee. You can find every bounty the sea has to offer like ahi tuna tartar to start with, all the way to their pan-seared grouper and blackened Faroe Island salmon.

Flipper’s Pizzeria

5770 US-192, Kissimmee, FL 34746
Phone: (407) 397-9509
Visit Website

When you want some crispy, brick-oven pizza, then the only place to come when you’re in Kissimmee is Flipper’s Pizzeria off of US-192, next to the Celebration Suites hotel and Fun Spot America Theme Parks.

This cozy counter-serve pizza joint near Kissimmee is such a chill, relaxed place to come and enjoy a slice of pizza that offers both indoor and outdoor seating with both a comfy dining room and a spacious outdoor patio.

I really love the pizza here at Flipper’s because they use only all-natural meats and cheeses so you know you’re truly getting the best of the best.

Southern Breeze Restaurant

5770 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, FL 34746
Phone: (407) 397-4004

Another place I love to eat at when I’m in Kissimmee is called Southern Breeze Restaurant, a hip American restaurant that has classic American foods like burgers, hot dogs, and a true Florida delicacy: gator!

The drink specials are simply unbelievable here at Southern Breeze. If you like collectible drink glasses, then this Southern Breeze is going to be your haven; they offer everything from 32-ounce yardsticks to an absolutely ludicrous 100-ounce “Bone Yard” that you can fill with all sorts of fruity frozen flavors of daiquiri.

Sakeba Asian Pub & Grill

5770 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy ste 414, Kissimmee, FL 34746
Phone: (407) 479-6796
Visit Website

Just up the road from the CLC Regal Oaks Resort and the Tropical Palm RV Resort is a place called Sakeba Asian Pub & Grill in Old Town that features incredible Asian cuisines from various countries as well as an impressive medley of sake to enjoy.

What I recommend the most here at Sakeba Asian Pub & Grill is their extremely exquisite red Thai curry that comes available with either veggies, chicken, steak, shrimp, or a combo of all three types of meat.

El Borrego

5770 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, FL 34746
Phone: (407) 507-6011

El Borrego is another fantastic Mexican restaurant near Kissimmee that I frequent anytime I have the pleasure of being in the area.

They have phenomenal elotes and chile relleno here at El Borrego, which is what I usually order, but they also have a birria quesadilla that’s even better than a regular cheese quesadilla which I didn’t think was even possible!

Frogger’s Bar & Grill

5770 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, FL 34746
Phone: (407) 507-0760
Visit Website

Last up is Frogger’s Bar & Grill, another laid-back Old Town favorite for food, drinks, and fun all in one convenient location off of West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway.

I highly recommend their buffalo chicken nachos here at Frogger’s Bar & Grill because they are unlike any other nachos you will ever have, in my opinion, but they also serve delicious Angus burgers and delectable thin-crust pizza.

King O Falafel

5045 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, FL 34746
Phone: (407) 979-4940
Visit Website

King O Falafel is a Mediterranean restaurant off of West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, right next to the International Heli Tours South helicopter tour agency and FantasyWorld Resort.

When you get to King O Falafel, I highly recommend you try one of their gyro sandwiches or chicken kabob because those are my two favorite dishes, by far. They also offer a variety of homemade desserts, as well as tea and coffee.
